History of the temple

Many years ago there was a Jain sage called Kundakunda Acharya.  He visited this hill and started to construct the temple.  The main deity in the temple was Lord Parshvanath 23rd tirthankar.  The temple is built by rocks.  The temple was constructed two thousand years ago.  The hill is known for the 17th century.

The temple is located in Shimoga district, Karnataka, India.  Shimoga district is nearest to Udupi city.  The main deity in that temple is Lord Parshvanath.  There are two ponds on that hill which is situated on one side of the temple.  The hill is surrounded by dense forest.
